Move the Gas Plant is the registered "doing business as" name of Lee County-based Neighbors for Neighbors, Inc., a Texas nonprofit organization.

Neighbors for Neighbors, Inc. is designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable, tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

Its charitable purposes specifically include: helping to form and guide community groups that focus on local environmental protection and restoration, protection of wildlife and allied natural resources, assurance of the public health, maintenance of property values, and building community. 

Contributions to Move the Gas Plant are tax-deductible if the donor is otherwise eligible for the deduction.
